New America’s Better Life Lab is seeking a Research Assistant for the Better Life Lab’s senior fellow for paid leave policy and strategy on a part-time (20 hours/week) basis through March 2020. This is a part-time position working under the direction of the senior fellow. This position can be completed remotely, but the fellow must be available to meet in person or confer with the senior fellow on a regular basis. It is an excellent opportunity to learn about federal policy across a range of topics in service to the senior fellow’s research agenda and to engage in real-time policy, research and advocacy work related to paid family and medical leave at the national level.
